Deepika Padukone Guest Judge on Shahrukh Khan's 'Knight and Angels' latest news

Since appearing in 'Om Shanti Om', the only time Deepika Padukone and Shahrukh Khan have been together again on screen was briefly in the movie 'Billu'. Well apparently the friendship the sexy actress has with Shahrukh Khan was enough to convince her to be on his show 'Knight and Angels'. Since the premiere of the show, guest judges including Anoushka Sharma, Malaika Arora Khan, Minisha Lamba, and Lara Dutta have made an appearance. So it's no surprise that producer Shahrukh Khan would choose Deepika Padukone for one of the episodes.





This Saturday's episode will feature the 'Chandani Chowk to China' star, Deepika who just so happened to be a hit on 'Knight and Angels'. For those of you not in the know, 'Knight and Angels' is a one of a kind reality show that hunts for cheerleaders for IPL on DTV Imagine. Deepika Padukone gave the angel contestants a run for their money as she danced with them to music from 'Billu'. She also strut her stuff with contemporary dance expert Shiamak Davar to the song 'Dhoom Machale Dhoom' and even got the host of the show Purab Kohli to join in.


Deepika Padukone was kind and charming, but also tough on the contestants. Judge and dance choreographer, Shaimak Davar was quick to point out the faults in their performances, but also demonstrated the correct steps. Cricketer and judge, Sourav Ganguly was cheerful as usual. Red Chillies Idiot Box creative head Pranjal Khandhdiya "Knight and Angels is moving towards the finals. Deepika Padukone charmed everyone with her vibrant presence and Shaimak Davar performing with Deepika and angel contestants made the episode a visual treat".

Numerologists have been suggesting remedies to make the team Kolkatta Knight Riders come at an auspicious number that suits Shahrukh Khan. Most of the successful captains of Indian team are born in July first week, like Sunil Gavaskar and Dhoni and Saurav Ganguly is also born in the same week as the two other captains and that should make him ideal captain to a cricket team!

Comedy man Akshay teams up with Bohemia for a song in 8x10 Tasveer

Akshay Kumar, it seems, has taken a fancy for international singers of late. After Chandni Chowk To China, the actor has again teamed up with US-based desi hip-hop and rap star Bohemia for a

peppy song and music video for his forthcoming film 8X10 Tasveer . Apart from this Akshay had earlier teamed up with Snoop Dogg in Singh Is Kinng and has recently also tied up with Kylie Minogue in Blue .



Navin Shah, CEO of Percept Picture Company, says, "The music video encapsulates the personality of the film. The intrigue and thrill elements form an integral part of the video. Bohemia is a very popular rap artist and we are very happy that he has given his music for our film."




"Bohemia has lent his voice for the title song of Percept Picture Company's 8X10 Tasveer. The feel of the song is a mix of grunge underground meets hip-hop. The camera work is exceptional. But it is Akshay Kumar who is the eye candy in the video from minute one. It's an addictive track."




8X10 Tasveer has been directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and slated for April 3, 2009 release. Akshay plays the character of a man of Indian origin who becomes a forest ranger in Canada. It also stars Ayesha Takia, Vinod Khanna and Sharmila Tagore.

Mugdha Godse, who made quite a few heads turn in Fashion, has replaced Katrina Kaif in director Rohit Shetty's next entertainer to be produced by Ajay Devgan.

Shetty, whose Golmaal Returns had set the cash registers ringing last year, confirmed that Katrina was the first choice for the film, which is yet to be named.

Contrary to the rumors, Aishwarya Rai is not playing a cameo in Pink Panther 2, rather she would be seen in a sizeable chunk of the film’s climax as the main villain.

When asked about her role, Aishwarya Rai says,” I play Sonia, a writer and authority on the Tornado who steals valuable artifacts from all over the world. And I am an essential part of the dream team who is trying to find the Tornado. But at the same time while Sonia is not a detective per se, she plays a very essential element and an almost important part of the dream team trying to unravel the mystery of the missing Pink Panther and trying to nail The Tornado.”

According to her the highlight of the film is Steve Martin as well as its ensemble cast.




“Apart from Steve Martin who plays Inspector Clouseau, I think what’s the best part of this particular movie is this fantastic ensemble in terms of the kind of cast that’s come together to create these various different characters. I think it was a wonderful idea to come up with a dream team, so you’ve actually pulled in characters from different parts of the world – you’ve got all these different nationalities – so you pick it up as the world’s getting smaller,” she says.
